Napa Cafe, 5101 Sanderlin, Suite 122, hosts a five-course, four-wine dinner at 6:30 p.m. featuring wines from Paradise Ridge in Sonoma. Rene Byck, the winery owner, will be on hand to greet guests and discuss his family's wines. The dinner will be co-hosted by Athens Distributing. $65; call 683-0441 for reservations.

Thursday

Jim's Place Grille, 3660 S. Houston Levee in Collierville, and Charles Long with the Victor L. Robilio Co., co-host a four-course wine dinner at the restaurant at 6:30 p.m. featuring the wines of Firestone Vineyards. $45. Call 861-5000 for reservations.

Wayne's Wine and Liquor and John Arnold and Scott Anderson of the Victor L. Robilio Co. co-host a wine tasting at Kem's Restaurant in the new Holiday Inn and Suites, 2751 New Brunswick Road, from 6 to 8 p.m. Eight wines from California and Argentina will be paired with appetizers from Kem's chef Michael Prine. $15; call 531-7799 for reservations.

Grill 83 hosts a five-course dinner at 6:15 p.m., centered around its new cigar series. The event will feature selections of cigars and discussions about wine and liquor pairings with the evening's menu by Mike Candebatt from La Vignoble Wine Distributors. $75 includes dinner, all beverage pairings and one hand-rolled cigar from Havana Mix.
